5-sulfosalicylic acid is white crystal or crystalline powder, soluble in ether, easily soluble in water and ethanol, decomposition at high temperature, if there is a trace of iron ion when pink crystal. Melting point 120ºC. Melting point 105-110 °C(lit.), boiling point 100 °C, density 0,8 g/cm3, vapor density 0.62 (vs air), vapor pressure <1 hPa (20 °C), flash point 150°C.
